Lifetime UK has set a premiere date for Witches of East End, with the supernatural drama arriving on Tuesday November 5th at 10pm, on the second night of the newly launched channel.
Based on Melissa de la Cruz’s novel and developed by Maggie Friedman, the series is set in the seaside town of East End and follows the Beauchamp women. Julia Ormond stars as Joanna, a centuries-old witch who has kept the truth from her two grown daughters, Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston). When Joanna’s long-estranged sister Wendy, played by Mädchen Amick, turns up with a warning, Joanna is forced to reveal that the young women are immortal witches with powers they have never tapped.
The revelation turns their small-town lives upside down, all the more so as Freya, newly engaged to wealthy playboy Dash, finds herself inexplicably drawn to his brooding brother Killian, and an ancient enemy sets out to end the Beauchamp line for good.
