Spike has set a UK premiere date for Wynonna Earp, with the supernatural Western arriving on Friday July 29th. The series first aired earlier this year on Syfy in the United States.

Developed by Emily Andras and based on the comic by Beau Smith, the show stars Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna, the great-great-granddaughter of the legendary lawman Wyatt Earp. Returning to her hometown of Purgatory, she inherits her ancestor’s curse and his sentient revolver, Peacemaker, the one weapon capable of putting down the revenants, the undead outlaws Wyatt once killed who have risen to hunt his descendants.

Blending Western, horror and dark comedy, the series follows Wynonna as a reluctant, hard-living heroine. Tim Rozon plays a returning Doc Holliday, Dominique Provost-Chalkley her sister Waverly, and Shamier Anderson the secretive government agent Dolls, who recruits her to a unit that deals with the paranormal.
