The Good Wife Star Archie Panjabi Cast In BBC Two’s The Fall

Archie Panjabi has joined the cast of The Fall, a new crime drama for BBC Two. The actress, an Emmy winner for her role as Kalinda Sharma in The Good Wife, will play the pathologist Professor Reed Smith.

Created and written by Allan Cubitt, the five-part series is set in Belfast and stars Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, a senior officer brought in to head up a murder investigation. Panjabi’s Reed Smith works alongside Gibson, with her forensic findings feeding into the hunt for the killer.

The drama is built as a dual study of the detective and the man she is pursuing, played by Jamie Dornan. It is produced by Artists Studio and is due to air on BBC Two.
