E4 has set a UK premiere date for the eighth season of The Big Bang Theory, with the CBS comedy returning on Thursday October 23rd at 8:30pm.
The opening episode, “The Locomotion Interruption”, picks up after Sheldon’s summer spent riding the rails across the country. His trip comes to an abrupt halt in Arizona, leaving Leonard and Amy to drive out and bring him home.
Elsewhere in the premiere, Penny lines up a job interview at Bernadette’s pharmaceutical company, and Howard finds himself thoroughly unsettled by how close Stuart has become with his mother. As ever, E4 will air the new episodes hot on the heels of their US broadcast.
