BBC One’s surveillance thriller The Capture will premiere on Tuesday September 3rd at 9pm, it has been announced.
The Capture is described as a surveillance thriller set in London. When soldier Shaun Emery’s (Turner) conviction for a murder in Afghanistan is overturned due to flawed video evidence he returns to life as a free man with his young daughter. But when damning CCTV footage from a night out in London comes to light, Shaun’s life takes a shocking turn and he must soon fight for his freedom once again.
With DI Rachel Carey (Grainger) drafted in to investigate Shaun’s case, she quickly learns that the truth can sometimes be a matter of perspective. Should she trust Shaun Emery? In addition to Grainer and Turner, the cast also includes Ron Perlman, Famke Janssen, Laura Haddock, Ben Miles, Lia Williams, Sophia Brown, Paul Ritter, Adelayo Adedayo, Ralph Ineson, Cavan Clerkin, Barry Ward, Ginny Holder and Nigel Lindsay.
The six episode drama series hails from Heyday Television and NBCUniversal International Studios and is being penned and directed by Cyberbully and Blackout scribe Ben Chanan. Derek Ritchie is the series producer. The executive producers are David Heyman, Rosie Alison and Tom Winchester for Heyday Television, Ben Irving for BBC One, Tom Coan for NBCUniversal International Studios and Ben Chanan. NBCUniversal International Distribution will handle global sales.
