ITV has released the trailer for their long-delayed drama Hatton Garden. The miniseries, which was originally scheduled to air in late 2017 before ITV pulled it for legal reasons, is set to premiere next month.
Based on a true story, Hatton Garden depicts the audacious jewellery and cash burglary at the heart of London’s diamond district executed by an elderly gang of career criminals across the Easter Bank Holiday weekend in April 2015.
It tells the inside story of how the men pulled off the heist and the extraordinary level of planning, preparation and organisation required to penetrate the vault of the Hatton Garden Safety Deposit Company. The four-part drama was penned by Paul Whittington and Terry Winsor and stars Timothy Spall (Harry Potter), Kenneth Cranham (The White Princess), David Hayman (The Paradise), Alex Norton (Two Doors Down) and Brian F.O’Byrne (The Magaicians). ITV Studios is producing, with Jeff Pope and Terry Winsor serving as the executive producers.
