Sky Atlantic has unveiled the first-look images from the second season of its gripping crime drama Tin Star, offering a glimpse into the intense narrative that awaits viewers.

The series continues to follow ex-police chief Jim Worth, portrayed by Tim Roth, as he grapples with the aftermath of his alter ego Jack Devlin’s actions.

Season two picks up with Jim and his family isolated in the Canadian Rockies, struggling to come to terms with their traumatic experiences.

Their daughter, Anna, seeks refuge with the devout Nickel family, only to uncover deeper secrets that compel her to reconnect with her father in the face of new threats.

The returning cast includes Genevieve O’Reilly as Angela Worth and Abigail Lawrie as Anna Worth, with Christina Hendricks reprising her role as North Stream Oil executive Elizabeth Bradshaw.

New additions to the ensemble are John Lynch as Pastor Johan, Anamaria Marinca as Sarah, and Jenessa Grant as Rosa, members of the Nickel family who play pivotal roles in the unfolding drama. The season delves into themes of forgiveness and redemption, contrasting the vengeance-driven narrative of the first season.

Filmed in Calgary, Canada, the ten-part second season is scheduled to premiere in 2019, exclusively on Sky and the streaming service NOW TV in the UK and Ireland.

The first season of Tin Star garnered significant viewership, averaging 1.7 million per episode and accumulating over 16 million downloads and views, marking it as one of Sky Atlantic’s most successful original productions.
