BBC Two has inked a new deal with Zodiak Rights to secure the UK broadcast rights to the ten episode second season of lavish Canal+ period drama Versailles, TVWise has learned. Additionally, Amazon Prime Video UK has secure SVOD rights to Versailles season two, and will make it available to subscribers shortly after the linear broadcast window on BBC Two. 
Portrait Artist Of The Year is heading to the United States. Arts focused cable network Ovation has secured the U.S. broadcast rights to the Sky Arts series after striking a deal with international distributor Zodiak Rights, TVWise has learned. Ovation's deal with Zodiak covers the first two seasons of the show. 
Zodiak Rights has recruited BBC Worldwide's Head of Drama Chris Stewart, who will assume the newly created role of Head of Scripted Acquisitions.
