Younger is returning to the UK. Comedy Central UK has acquired all six seasons of TV Land's Sutton Foster fronted comedy series. Comedy Central UK parent Viacom brokered the deal with international distributor Endemol Shine International. The first two seasons of Younger previously aired in the UK on Sony Entertainment Television (later known as Sony Channel), before they moved away from first run acquisitions when they rebranded as Sony Crime Channel. Younger will premiere on Comedy Central UK later this year.
The second season of TV Land's original comedy series Younger will receive its UK premiere on Sony Channel on Wednesday July 27th at 9pm, it has been announced. The show's twelve episode second season picks up after the season one finale, in which Liza (Sutton Foster) let her secret slip to sexy young tattoo artist Josh (Nico Tortorella).
In what is a big sign of confidence from the network, TV Land has handed out an early fourth season renewal to their hit single camera comedy series Younger. 12 episodes have been ordered for the show's fourth season, which is eyed for a 2017 premiere.
Earlier this month TVWise broke the news that Sony Entertainment Television had acquired the UK rights to TV Land's new single-camera comedy series Younger and the final season of Hot In Cleveland in a deal with Endemol Shine International. The broadcaster confirmed that today by formally announcing the pick-ups, revealing that both series will debut in November as part of a Wednesday night comedy-block.
