ABC's short-lived period drama Wicked City is coming to the UK. The eight episode series will launch exclusively on ABC Studios On Demand - the VOD service providing complete box sets of ABC Studios produced shows, which is available through Sky Box Sets, Now TV and Virgin Media - on Monday May 1st, TVWise has learned.

ABC has made the first official cancellation of the season and pulled the plug on their period drama Wicked City after a mere three episodes, TVWise has learned. The series is being pulled from the schedule effective immediately, with reruns of Shark Tank now assuming the Tuesday night 10pm time-slot.

TVWise has identified three new shows that various UK broadcasters are close to acquiring. Those shows include The CW's eagerly anticipated Arrow and The Flash spin-off DC's Legends Of Tomorrow, starring Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz and Victor Garber; Canadian sci-fi drama Killjoys starring Warehouse 13's Aaron Ashmore, which airs on Syfy in the United States; and ABC new period crime drama Wicked City.

The network, who are now starting to make calls on renewals and cancellations, has picked up their pilots The Catch, The Muppets, Quantico, Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly known as Boom), Dr Ken, Wicked City, The Real O'Neals, Of Kings And Prophets and The Family to series.
