StarzPlay Acquires UK Rights To Hulu’s ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’, Sets December Premiere
Four Weddings And A Funeral is crossing the pond. StarzPlay has secured the UK rights to Hulu's limited series, based on the hit 199os film, after striking a deal with MGM Worldwide Television Distribution. It will premiere on StarzPlay on Thursday December 12th, when the complete series will be available to stream. 
The Gilded Age is on the move. Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes' long-gestating period drama has landed at HBO with a ten episode series order, the premium cable network announced on Thursday. The project had been in the works at NBC since as far back as 2012 and ultimately earned a series order in early 2018 at the peacock, which was then under the reins of Bob Greenblatt. Notably, the show's move to HBO mirrors Greenblatt's recent move from NBC to HBO parent WarnerMedia.
SVU is breaking TV records. NBC has renewed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for a twenty-first season. With the pick-up, the series breaks the record for longest running prime-time drama series that was previously jointly held by Law & Order and Gunsmoke. 
After the cast recently reunited for an election themed short, a more conventional Will & Grace revival may be on the way. Talks are now underway to bring Will & Grace back to television, TVWise has confirmed. It should be stressed that the talks here are extremely preliminary and have come about off of the back of the strong fan response to the
NBC is adding to their drama development slate with two new projects from heady auspices: Salvation, from Law & Order veteran Warren Leight and Walker, Texas Ranger creator Paul Haggis; and Waking Lions from Homeland executive producer Gideon Raff.
NBC is staying in business with SNL and Parks & Recreation star Amy Poehler. The network has handed out a pilot production commitment to The Baby, a half-hour scripted comedy starring Seann William Scott (American Pie) which hails from Poehler's production company Paper Kite Productions, TVWise has learned.
