UKTV Profits Surge By 8% To £91 Million
UKTV has had another good year. The multi-channel broadcaster, which is a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive, has seen its profits (EBITDA) surge by some 8% to £91 million, from revenues of £345 million. Likewise, the broadcasters share of commercial impacts grew to 9.85%, placing them behind only ITV. The ratings and SOCI growth was driven largely by their mix of exclusive and original content, such as their USA Network import Suits on Dave. 

The second season of Fox's drama series Rosewood will receive its UK premiere on UKTV's Alibi channel on Tuesday May 9th at 8pm, it has been announced.
The second season of Irish comedy series Bridget & Eamon will receive its UK premiere on UKTV's Gold channel on Friday May 12th at 11pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
The second season of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders will receive its UK premiere on UKTV's W channel on Thursday May 25th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Canadian public broadcaster CBC has picked up their rating winning period drama Murdoch Mysteries for an eleventh season, TVWise has learned. The show's eleventh season will consist of 18 hour-long episodes and a two-hour Christmas special.
UKTV's W channel has given the green-light to an as-yet untitled eight episode talk show fronted by Davina McCall, TVWise has learned. The untitled show will see Davina lead a thought-provoking exploration of a different contemporary issue each week, sparked by real people’s experiences and viewpoints.
