UKTV has hired ITV Studios exec Ronan Hand to serve in the newly created role of Director of Programme Funding. UKTV's W channel has given the greenlight to Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, a six episode amternity documentary series that will see the presenter train as a Maternity Care Assistant. Canadian period drama Murdoch Mysteries - which is co-produced by UKTV and airs on their Alibi channel - has been renewed for a twelfth season. Canadian public broadcaster CBC has commissioned 18 hour-long episodes. There will be no Christmas special for season twelve.
