New Zealand drama series The Bad Seed, which is based on the books by bestselling author Charlotte Grimshaw, will receive its UK premiere on UKTV's Alibi channel on Tuesday May 14th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Alibi has ordered their second original drama. Mere months after moving into scripted originals with Traces, the UKTV owned and operated channel has given the green-light to We Hunt Together, a six episode cat and mouse thriller from Cheat scribe Gaby Hull and BBC Studios. We Hunt Together begins with the collision of two extraordinary people; Babeni (AKA Baba), a former child soldier desperate to suppress his predisposition for violence, and Freddy, a magnetic and disarmingly charming free spirit. When Baba rescues Freddy from an attack following a date that has turned sour, something dark is ignited in them both.

UKTV's W channel has handed out a four episode series order to Emily Atack: Adulting - an observational documentary series following the rise of Atack, who came second in last year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Emily Atack: Adulting follows Emily as she tries to answer the big life questions looming over her and the pressure she feels as she approaches turning thirty. The series has access all areas to Emily’s life and social media and each episode poses a question based on parenthood, dating and body image, which Emily will attempt to answer with the help of friends, family, her social network and beyond.

UKTV's W channel has handed out a six episode series order to The Wedding Fixer, a new wedding series fronted by Sarah Haywood - one of the most highly respected wedding planners in the world. The Wedding Fixer follows Haywood as she battles to get couples weddings back on track amidst wedding day turmoil. Whether they’ve blown the budget bridezilla style, or the wedding dress company has suddenly gone bust, Sarah never knowingly holds back when it comes to telling everyone how things are meant to be done. Really - which is one of the three UKTV channels that are set to be taken over by Discovery later this year - has renewed their paranormal series Help! My House is Haunted. Additionally, the channel has boarded Unexplained: Caught On Camera, a new eight episode paranormal series which, like Help! My House Is Haunted, is produced by Brighton based indie Back2Back.

As has been rumoured for months, UKTV as it presently exists is being split up. Owners Discovery and BBC Studios have reached a deal that will see Discovery take control of Good Food, Home and Really, while BBC Studios assumes full ownership of Alibi, Dave, Drama, Eden, Gold, Yesterday and W. When the deal closes, BBC Studios' Marcus Arthur will replace Darren Childs as UKTV's CEO.
