‘John Bishop’s Ireland’ Gets Series Order At ITV
Travelogue John Bishop's Ireland has been picked up to series at ITV with a four episode order. The series follows comedian John Bishop on a 600 mile road trip around the Emerald Isle. John's Bishop's Ireland sees him take a deep dive into Irish culture. It’s a rollicking and hilarious voyage that will not only follow John discovering iconic sights and quirky customs, but will also see him perform his comedy along the way, from a small and cramped gig in a Limerick pub, through to the biggest stage in all of Ireland.
BBC Two is adding two factual entertainment series and a current affairs documentary to their 2019 slate. The channel has ordered the Dara O Briain fronted The Family Brain Games, competition series The Claim, and Who Should Get A British Passport.
As part of their commissioning strategy. ITV4 has given the green-light to Take The Tower, a game show fronted by Dolph Lundgren which draws inspiration from classic Hollywood action movies.
BBC One has ordered four-part natural history series Ingenious Animals, which hails from Twofour's Oxford Scientific Films.
ITV has ordered Tom Daley: Diving For Gold, a one-off documentary from independent production company Twofour about the Olympic diver's professional and personal life in the four years between the 2012 games and the upcoming Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, TVWise has learned.
Twofour's 'Educating...' format, known internationally as The School, is set to be remade in China by Hunan TV, after Shine International struck a deal with the Chinese company.
