TruTV is continuing their push into scripted comedy. The network has handed out an eight episode series order to anthology comedy series Bobcat Goldthwait's Messed Up Stories. The announcement will be made later today at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. 
TruTV is continuing with their push into scripted comedy. The Turner owned cable network has handed out a 13 episode second season renewal to Those Who Can't, their first original scripted comedy, some three months before it is set to premiere, TVWise has learned. Alongside renewing Those Who Can't, TruTV has inked a first-look deal with the series' showrunner Dean Lorey and picked up his comedy Shady Neighbors to pilot. TruTV is getting in on the scripted originals game. The Turner owned cable network has handed out a 10 episode series order to high school comedy Those Who Can't from Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy - making it their first ever original scripted series.
