TNT Renews ‘The Last Ship’ For Third Season
TNT has renewed genre series The Last Ship for a third season, TVWise has learned. The network has ordered 13 episodes for the show's third season, matching the size of the order for season two. Season three is expected to premiere next Summer. 
TNT has cast the first two leads for Animal Kindom. The New Normal & Happyish star Ellen Barkin and Last Resort's Scott Speedman have been tapped for major roles in the hour-long drama pilot from John Wells Productions and Warner Horizon Television which is based on the 2010 feature film of the same name.
TNT is brining back hit procedural Rizzoli & Isles. The Turner owned cable network has picked up the Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander fronted for a seventh season, after only six episodes of the eighteen episode sixth season have aired. Notably, the network has only ordered 13 episode for the show's seventh season, down significantly from the order for its current season.
TNT has handed out a pilot order to Good Behaviour, an hour-long drama series based on Blake Crouch's Letty Dobesh book series, which is being shepherded by Chad Hodge - the writer/EP who successfully turned Hodge's Wayward Pines into a ratings winning event series for Fox. Michelle Dockery is attached to star, in what will be her first-post Downton Abbey TV role.
So much for TNT's Major Crimes spin-off S.O.B. The network has officially passed on the project which would have starred Jon Tenney (The Closer, Major Crimes) and Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead, Chicago Med). 
TNT is making some late changes to their Summer schedule. Public Morals, the newest series from Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, has been pushed back and will now premiere on Tuesday August 25th at 10/9c; while the second season of the Sean Bean starrer Legends has been bumped to the network's Fall schedule.
TNT has released a new trailer for Proof, their ten episode supernatural drama series starring The Chicago Code alum Jennifer Beals.
