BBC One has given the green-light to Three Girls, a three-part drama about the Rochdale abuse scandal, TVWise has learned. Three Girls is based on the experiences of the girls who were groomed in Rochdale in the five years between 2008 and 2012, for which nine men were convicted and sentenced. The drama explores how these girls were groomed, how they were ignored by the authorities directly responsible for protecting them, and how they eventually made themselves heard.
