EXCLUSIVE: Mulder and Scully are returning to their long-time UK home. TVWise understands that Sky1 - who held first window rights on the first nine seasons of the show - is close to a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Fox’s six episode The X-Files revival series. Representatives of Sky declined to comment.

Fox is bringing back another well known X-Files alum for the revival. Annabeth Gish (The Bridge, Sons Of Anarchy) has signed on to reprise her role as FBI Special Agent Monica Reyes in the limited event series. She will appear in one episode towards the end of the six episode run.

Fox is bringing back a trio of fan favourite characters for their The X-Files revival. Dean Haglund, Bruce Harwood and Tom Braidwood have all signed on to reprise their roles as Langly, Byers and Frohike - known collectively as The Lone Gunmen - in the six episode revival, which is currently in production in Vancouver, Canada for a January premiere on Fox.

Robbie Amell (The Tomorrow People) and Lauren Ambrose (Dig) have joined the cast of Fox's six episode The X-Files revival in guest-starring roles, TVWise has learned. The two will play a pair of new FBI agents, with Amell taking on the role of the smart and smooth Special Agent Miller, while Ambrose will play the sharp and confident Special Agent Einstein.
