After weeks of rumours, ITV has officially confirmed that they have secured exclusive rights to The Voice, poaching the format away from its current UK home, the BBC. The show's fifth season, which is set to debut early next year, will be the last to air on BBC One, before the format segues to ITV in 2017. ITV's deal runs for three years, from 2017-2019, and alongside taking the rights to the main series, the commerical broadcaster has also commissioned an ITV2 spin-off and children's version of the format.
