The second season of anthology series The Terror will premiere on AMC UK on Monday October 7th at 9pm, it has been announced. Additionally, AMC UK has released the trailer and key art for the new season.

BT TV - who hold the exclusive carriage agreement for AMC Global here in the UK - has announced plans to preview the series premiere of the channel's newest import, The Terror, on YouTube. For 24 hours, from 00:01am on Tuesday April 24th, the opening episode will be available free of charge on BT's YouTube channel; marking the first time that a pay TV show has launched in the UK on YouTube before it has been broadcast on television. The first two episodes of The Terror will then be broadcast on AMC Global later that day in its regular 9pm time-slot

Tobias Menzies (Outlander) has been set as one of the leads in The Terror, AMC's ten episode anthology drama based on the novel by Dan Simmons. Picked up straight-to-series, The Terror is set in 1847, when a Royal Naval expedition crew searching for the Northwest Passage is attacked by a mysterious predator that stalks the ships and their crew in a suspenseful and desperate game of survival.

AMC Global has picked up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to The Terror, the ten episode anthology drama based on the novel by Dan Simmons that was recently green-lit by the US AMC network, after striking a deal with sister company AMC Studios, TVWise has learned.
