Silverprint Pictures is staying in the Ann Cleeves business. After producing two previous adaptations of the author's novels in the form of BBC drama Shetland and ITV's long-running Vera, the indie has optioned TV rights to The Long Call - the opening novel in a new series by Ann Cleeves. “I’m delighted that the team at Silverprint has optioned The Long Call", author Ann Cleeves said in a statement. "The adaptations of Vera and Shetland have captured the essence of my books, while making TV dramas that are hugely successful in their own right.”
