Disney+’s Star Acquires UK Rights To ‘The Fosters’ & Marvel Series ‘Helstrom’

Disney+'s soon-to-launch general entertainment brand Star has acquired the UK rights to all five seasons of the ABC Family/Freeform original series The Fosters and the short-lived Marvel series Helstrom. Both series will be available to stream when Star launches on Disney+ on Tuesday February 23rd.

Two Freeform originals are crossing the pond. BBC Three has acquired the UK rights to The Fosters spin-off Good Trouble and supernatural drama Fort Salem (also known as Motherland: Fort Salem) after striking a deal with international distributor Disney Media Distribution.

ABC Family Renews ‘The Fosters’ For Fourth Season

ABC Family has renewed their hit, though controversial, drama series The Fosters for a fourth season, the network announced on Monday. The show's fourth season will premiere in 2016, by which time the network will have re-branded to Freeform.
