BritBox is adding to their line up of UK scripted shows. The new streaming service has inked a deal with DRG for Channel 4's short-lived police comedy-drama Babylon, BBC Four comedy Detectorists, BBC One's Jenna Coleman drama The Cry and BBC One's Tracey Ullman's Show.

Months after securing a U.S. deal with the AMC owned streaming service Sundance Now, DRG has secured further pre-sales for The Cry with a range of international broadcasters. The four-part BBC One drama starring Jenna Coleman (Victoria) and Ewen Leslie (Top Of The Lake) has been sold to M6 in France, TV2 in Norway, C More (TV4) in Sweden, Canal Plus in Poland, TVNZ in New Zealand, NPO in the Netherlands, and BBC Worldwide for its channels in Benelux, the Middle East and Africa.

The Cry is crossing the pond. International distributor DRG has pre-sold The Cry, BBC One's upcoming Scotland-set four-part drama starring Jenna Coleman (Victoria) and Ewen Leslie (Top Of The Lake), to AMC Networks' streaming service Sundance Now in the United States.

More news out of the Edinburgh International TV Festival. BBC Director of Content Charlotte Moore, during her Meet The Controller session, announced a trio of new drama commissions for BBC One. The corporation's flagship channel has ordered three part drama The Barking Murders, a factual drama from Jeff Pope that explores the crimes of Stephen Port from the point of view of the families of his victims; and a pair of new drama that will be set and shot in Scotland - The Victim and The Cry.
