HBO is doing a u-turn. After initially renewing the series for a 10 episode second season back in July, the premium cable network has opted to cancel their Jack Black fronted comedy series The Brink, TVWise has confirmed.

The premium cable network has renewed the Jack Black fronted dark comedy for a second season, TVWise has confirmed. 10 episodes has been ordered for season two, matching the size of the order for the first season. HBO has released the key art for The Brink, their ten episode comedy series starring Jack Black (School Of Rock) and Tim Robbins (The Spoils Of Babylon). Fresh off of announcing a premiere date and simulcast plans for the second season of True Detective, Sky Atlantic has confirmed that, thanks to their long-standing out-put deal with HBO, they have picked up the UK rights to comedy series The Brink, starring Jack Black (School Of Rock).

At their executive panel at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California, HBO confirmed the premiere dates for the new seasons of 'Game Of Thrones', 'Silicon Valley' and 'Veep'.
