ITV has ordered Grace, an adaptation of Peter James' Roy Grace novels that hails from Endeavour creator Russell Lewis. Two feature-length episodes have been commissioned for the show's first season. John Simm (Prey, Code Of A Killer) is attached to star as Roy Grace.

ITV has released the trailer for the second season of Bancroft, which is set to premiere in early 2020. Bancroft explores what happens when heinous crimes, long buried in the past, come back to haunt us. It follows Elizabeth Bancroft, a respected DCI who has given her life to the police force. Trusted and adored by her colleagues, promotion to Detective Chief Superintendent looks assured. The drama series, which was created by Kate Brooke, is produced by Tall Story Pictures and stars Sarah Parish, Adrian Edmondson, Adam Long, Lee Boardman, Charles Babalola, Ryan McKen, Shameem Ahmad, Charlotte Hope, David Avery and Jacqueline Boatswain.

ITV is adding to the cast of The Bay. Joe Absolom, James Cosmo, Stephen Tomkinson, Sharon Small, Sunetra Sarker, Owen McDonnell, Steven Robertson, Amy James-Kelly, Kerrie Taylor, Wendy Kweh, Julia Haworth and Jack Archer have joined the Morven Christie fronted series for its second season.

ITV has renewed police drama The Bay for a second season. The pick-up comes a little more than a week after the show's six episode first season wrapped its run on the channel. The Bay was a strong ratings performer for ITV, with the series attracting a consolidated audience of 7 million viewers and a 27% share across its six week run.

Charlotte Hope (The Spanish Princess, Game of Thrones), David Avery (The Night Manager, Starred Up, Borderline) and Jacqueline Boatswain (Cuckoo, Collateral) have joined the cast of ITV's Bancroft for its second season, which is now being shot on location in Greater Manchester. Charlotte Hope has been cast as Annabel Connors, Joe Bancroft’s fiancé; David Avery as Detective Superintendent Jake Harper; and Jacqueline Boatswain as Chief Constable Frances Holland. They join returning cast members Sarah Parish, Adrian Edmondson, Adam Long, Lee Boardman, Charles Babalola, Ryan McKen and Shameem Ahmad.

ITV has rounded out the cast of The Man. Ben Miller (Death In Paradise), Alexandra Roach (No Offence), Sean Sagar (Our Girl, Top Boy), Susannah Fielding (This Time With Alan Partridge), Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody), Phoebe Nicholls (Downton Abbey), Ritu Ayra (The Good Karma Hospital), Michael Cochrane (The Archers) and Debbie Chazen (Doctor Who) have all been cast to star in the Mike Bartlett workplace bullying drama that is being toplined by Ken Nwosu (Killing Eve).

ITV is getting back into business with Mike Bartlett. The commercial broadcaster has given the green-light to a The Man, a new three-part drama exploring the corrosive effects of bullying from the writer behind such shows as Trauma and Doctor Foster. Ken Nwosu (Christopher Robin, Killing Eve) is attached to star. The Man is set in a business park in Reading and follows the personal and professional life of Thomas Benson; a hard-working father and husband. Reliant on bonuses and winning pitches, Benson often finds himself leading the team when trying to win new business. When he freezes during a pitch the fall out is monumental. Determined to win back the client Thomas goes to increasingly desperate lengths to remain successful. But as he does, he begins to feel undermined, under attack and out of control. Has he lost his confidence and just feeling paranoid or is his own team, and maybe the wider world, now out to get him?
