A little more than two weeks before the second season finale is set to air, Syfy has picked up 12 Monkeys for a third season, TVWise has confirmed. The network has ordered ten episodes for the show's third season, down from the thirteen episodes ordered for the first two seasons. 
Syfy is adding a limited anthology series to their burgeoning slate of original series. The NBCU cable network has handed out a two-season order to Channel Zero, a horror anthology series from Nick Antosca, Max Landis and Universal Cable Productions, TVWise has learned. Each season will consist of six episodes. 
Defiance has run its course at Syfy. The NBCU owned cable network has cancelled their flagship original drama after three seasons, TVWise has learned. 
There will be no happy ending for Alex Lannon and the residents of Vega. Syfy has cancelled their post-apocalyptic drama series Dominion, based on the 2010 feature film Legion, after two seasons, TVWise has confirmed. 
The second half of Haven's final season will receive its UK premiere on Syfy UK on Wednesday October 14th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
Syfy is keeping most of its Friday night block in-tact. The network has renewed Killjoys and Dark Matter for second seasons. Dark Matter's renewal is for a further thirteen episodes, while Killjoys will be back for a second season of ten episodes. 
Backstrom star Dennis Haysbert has been tapped for a series regular role in Syfy's “futuristic espionage” pilot Incorporated, which hails from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Pearl Street Productions, CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions. Other cast additions include Stargate alum David Hewlett and Ian Tracey.
