Lost Girl's final season is coming to the UK. Syfy UK has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the show's 16 episode final run after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has learned. The final season will premiere on Syfy UK on Tuesday October 13th at 9pm.
Mirroring the strategy they employed for the show's debut run, NBCUniversal International Networks (formerly known as Universal Networks International) has announced plans to fast-track the second season of The Librarians across their international footprint.
After registering marginal growth in its second week, Syfy UK's Dark Matter slipped slightly in the ratings with its third episode. The third outing of the sci-fi series, which originally aired on Monday June 29th, pulled in an average consolidated audience of 359K viewers. That is down by some 34K viewers or 9% on the 393K viewers who watched the previous episode. It is also down slightly on the 376K who tuned into the series premiere last month.
Syfy UK's newest hit Dark Matter is showing no signs of slowing down. Pulling off a rare feat, the space opera series actually grew its audience in its second week, drawing a consolidated audience of 393K viewers. All told, Dark Matter posted gains of around 17K viewers or just under 5% on the series premiere's 376K viewers.
Syfy UK's latest acquisition Dark Matter opened big for the genre channel when it debuted on June 15th. The space-opera series from former Stargate writers/executive producers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie kicked off its 10 episode freshman season with a consolidated audience of 370K viewers, way above the channel's 12 month slot average.
