Former Will & Grace and Perception star Eric McCormack has signed on to play the male lead in Fox's dramedy pilot 'Studio City', which has been described as being in a similar vein to the Showtime series 'Shameless'.

Fox has handed out pilot orders to an as-yet untitled single camera comedy starring The New Normal and Necessary Roughness alum John Stamos; and Studio City, an hour-long drama from Shameless executive producer John Wells and Grey's Anatomy scribe Krista Vernoff.
