After months of rumours, BBC One has confirmed that Sam Riley (Maleficent) and Kate Bosworth (Still Alice) have been set as the leads in SS-GB, their upcoming five episode alternate-history drama series based on the novel of the same name by Len Deighton. Production gets underway this month for a 2016 premiere.
At a special event in London, hosted by DG Tony Hall and Controller of Drama Commissioning Ben Stephenson, the corporation unveiled details of more than 40 hours worth of drama commissions, which will air on BBC One and BBC Two in 2015 and 2016.
