Sony Pictures Television Secures Format Sales For Stellify’s ‘Beauty Queen & Single’
Sony Pictures Television has lined up two European sales for Stellify Media's format Beauty Queen & Single. NPO 3/ KRO NCRV has commissioned a local adaptation in the Netherlands, while Aito Media has also optioned the format in Finland. 
Eleventh Hour Films and Sony Pictures Television have found their Alex Rider. Otto Farrant (Mrs Wilson, War and Peace) has been cast as the lead in the eight-episode young-adult drama series, which is based on Anthony Horowitz’s Alex Rider novels.
Channel 4 has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Television to acquire all seven seasons of FX's groundbreaking drama series The Shield for their VOD service All 4. Every single episode of the show is available to stream as of today. 
Channel 5 has acquired the UK rights to Australian drama series Bloom for their VOD service My5. The six episode drama, which was commissioned by streaming service Stan, is distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.
Hulu has renewed sci-fi comedy Future Man for a third and final season. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show's final run, down from the thirteen episode orders for seasons one and two. 
Das Boot helmer Andreas Prochaska has been tapped to direct Alex Rider, the TV series adaptation of Anthony Horowitz's young adult novel series that is set up at Eleventh Hour Films and Sony Pictures Television.
