Amazon Prime Video Poaches UK Rights To Hulu’s ‘Future Man’ In Deal With Sony Pictures Television
Future Man is switching broadcasters here in the UK. Amazon Prime Video UK has secured the rights to Hulu's sci-fi series in a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television. The pick up comes after Syfy UK served as the UK broadcaster the show's first two seasons. The first two seasons are now available to stream for UK Prime members, while the final season will premiere on Saturday April 4th - less than 24 hours after it launches on Hulu state-side. 
Channel 4 and Sony Pictures Television have struck a deal and yadda yadda yadda Seinfeld now has a UK home on All 4. The streaming service has acquired UK rights to all nine seasons and will make the first three seasons available on Friday February 7th. Subsequent seasons will be made available every Friday until the launch of season nine in mid-March. This will mark the first time that the award winning comedy series has been available to stream for free in the UK. Amazon Prime Video UK previously held SVOD rights to Seinfeld.
Eleventh Hour Films and Sony Pictures Television have released three first look images and trailer for their upcoming Alex Rider TV series, which is based on Anthony Horowitz’s novels. At present there is no UK broadcaster attached to the project.
BBC Two has handed out a six episode series order to an as-yet untitled comedy series from Sara Pascoe (Sara Pascoe Live: LadsLadsLads, Travelling Blind, W1A). Per the BBC, the series will subvert the tradition sitcom format and blend eccentric characters, surreal moments and factual insight.

L.A.'s Finest has landed with a UK broadcaster. FOX UK has acquired the UK rights to the Bad Boys spin-off, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television. The series is expected to premiere on FOX UK next month. “We’re excited to have Fox Networks Group on board and think this action-packed series will be a great fit for their audience,” said Holly Comiskey, Senior Vice-President of Distribution & Networks for Sony Pictures Televison, UK and Ireland.
YouTube Premium has handed out a third season renewal to their The Karate Kid follow-up series Cobra Kai. The renewal comes a little over a week after the second season was released. Season three is expected to premiere in 2020. Cobra Kai picks up thirty years after The Karate Kid and follows a down-and-out Johnny Lawrence as he seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo, reigniting his rivalry with a now successful Daniel LaRusso, who has been struggling to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi.
