Pivot Closure Won’t Impact ‘Fortitude’ Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: Participant Media announced yesterday that owing to the tough landscape for standalone cable networks, Pivot - a brand aimed at millennials - would be closing its doors. The network was best known for serving as the U.S. co-producer for Sky Atlantic's Fortitude since 2013, after the initial U.S. co-producer, premium cable network Starz, backed out. That had left some to question what, if any, affect Pivot's closure would have on the Arctic-set drama, but TVWise can now reveal that it will not impact the series.

Christopher HeyerdahlSky Atlantic is adding to the cast of western drama Tin Star. Canadian actor Christopher Heyerdahl has boarded the ten-part drama series in a supporting role opposite Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks, TVWise has learned. He will play Louis Gagnon, who forms an uneasy alliance with the oil company's corporate liaison Mrs Bradshaw (Hendricks), and together they are suspected of having hired the assassins to thwart Jim's (Roth) discovery of a shocking cover-up

Babou Ceesay, Rory Kinnear & Daniel Mays Join Sky Atlantic/Showtime Co-Production ‘Guerrilla’

Sky Atlantic and Showtime have rounded out the cast for their co-production Guerrilla. Babou Ceesay (Getting On, Eye In The Sky), Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful, Spectre) and Daniel Mays (Line Of Duty, Common) have been cast opposite Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, Immortals) and Idris Elba (Luther, Star Trek Beyond) in the 1970s period piece, TVWise has learned.
