UKTV Co-Production ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ Renewed For Season 15 With Supersized 24 Episode Order
Murdoch Mysteries is returning. Canadian public broadcaster CBC has picked up the long-running drama for a fifteenth season. As they have done for the show's entire run, UKTV will once again co-produce the series for the UK market. Murdoch Mysteries airs on UKTV's Alibi channel on this side of the pond. 24 episodes have been ordered for the show's fifteenth season; making it the longest season of the series to date.

UKTV's longest running scripted co-production is coming back. Canadian public broadcaster CBC has renewed Murdoch Mysteries for a fourteenth season. The renewal comes just ahead of tonight's UK broadcast of the show's thirteenth season finale on Alibi.
Acorn Media Enterprises - the UK based development division of U.S. streaming service Acorn TV - has teamed up with Irish broadcaster RTÉ to commission Dead Still, a six episode period drama from Deadpan Pictures, Murdoch Mysteries indie Shaftesbury and ZDF Enterprises.
Colm Feore (The Umbrella Academy, House Of Cards) and Claire Goose (The Coroner, Casualty) have been tapped for guest starring roles on the thirteenth season of Murdoch Mysteries. There is no word on the nature of the characters they will be playing. Production on the show's eighteen-episode thirteenth season is now underway in Ontario, and is expected to wrap in November. Season 13 will air on CBC in Canada later this year and is expected to premiere on UKTV's Alibi channel in early 2020. 

Universal TV is adding another Canadian drama to their schedule. The NBCU owned and operated channel has acquired the UK rights conspiracy thriller Departure, starring Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife). The six episode series is set to air on Universal TV later this year.
