Sky Atlantic has ordered Sweetpea, an adaptation of C. J. Skuse's novel of the same name. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show's first season.
BBC Two has rounded out the cast of The North Water. Stephen Graham (Line Of Duty), Tom Courtenay (The Aeronauts), Peter Mullan (Top Of The Lake), Sam Spruell (Legend), Roland Møller (Atomic Blond), Philip Hill-Pearson (Three Girls) and Kieran Urquhart (Vera) have been tapped to star opposite Jack O’Connell and Colin Farrell in the Ian McGuire adaptation.
Jack O’Connell (Skins, Godless) has been set as the lead in The North Water, BBC Two’s four-part adaptation of the novel by Ian McGuire. He joins previously announced main cast member Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, True Detective). O'Connell is repped by Conway van Gelder Grant, CAA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, True Detective) has been tapped to star in The North Water, BBC Two's four-part adaptation of the novel by Ian McGuire. He will play Henry Drax. “Colin Farrell will bring a blend of brutality and humanity to Andrew Haigh’s superb adaptation of this savage novel", said the BBC's Controller of Drama Piers Wenger. "The North Water is a brooding and resonant story which is set to grip BBC Two viewers.”
