It's one and done for Derren Litten's Scarborough. BBC One has cancelled the half-hour comedy series after a single six-episode season, TVWise has confirmed. "Sometimes we have to make difficult decisions to make room for new comedy on BBC One", a representative of the BBC told TVWise. "We are very proud of Scarborough and would like to thank Derren and the team for all their hard work on the series.” 
BBC One's new comedy series Scarborough will premiere on Friday September 6th at 9:30pm, it has been announced. 
Jason Manford (Ordinary Lies, Benidorm) and Catherine Tyldesley (Coronation Street, Trollied) have been set as the leads in Scarborough, BBC One's six episode comedy series from Benidorm creator Derren Litten. BBC One has greenlit Scarborough, a new comedy series from Benidorm creator Derren Litten; and handed out a pilot order to 'king Gary, a "working-class" sitcom from the team behind Murder In Successville. Both shows were announced today by the BBC's Director of Content Charlotte Moore at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
