After putting the series "on hold" in 2016, BBC One is bringing back Kay Mellor's lottery drama The Syndicate for a fourth season. BritBox North America is on-board as the U.S. and Canadian broadcast partner. Created by Kay Mellor, The Syndicate follows the lives of a group of ordinary people who hit it big with a lottery jackpot. The first three seasons aired on BBC One between 2012 and 2015. An anthology series, the cast and setting changes each season.

BBC Three has ordered My Left Nut, a three-part coming of age comedy drama that is based on the award winning play of the same name. It hails from Irish newcomers Michael Patrick and Oisín Kearney and is inspired by Michael's real life experiences as a teenager.

ITV is expanding their drama slate. The commercial broadcaster has given the green-light to four new drama series, which hails from such auspices as Doctor Foster creator Mike Bartlett, The Syndicate and In The Club scribe Kay Mellor, husband and wife team Paul Rutman and Natasha Narayan, and newcomers Mark Denton & Jonny Stockwood.

BBC One dramas In The Club and The Syndicate, from prolific writer and producer Kay Mellor, are being put "on hold"; with no decisions being made on their fates for the foreseeable future. "Of course I’d love to do another series of In The Club and The Syndicate but they are on hold for now", Kay Mellor said in a statement released today.
