The curtain is coming down on Roadies. Showtime has cancelled the hour-long music themed comedy series, from J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production banner, after a single ten episode season, TVWise has confirmed. Amazon Prime Video has acquired the exclusive first run UK rights to Cameron Crowe and JJ Abram's Showtime comedy series Roadies after striking a deal with international distributor Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, TVWise has learned. 
Showtime has handed out a 10 episode series to Roadies, the half-hour comedy project from Cameron Crowe, Winnie Holzman And J.J. Abrams, TVWise has learned. The episode comedy series is expected to premiere on Showtime in 2016. 
Spin City and Political Animals star Carla Gugino has signed on for a starring role in Showtime's half-hour comedy series Roadies, Gugino will play the band's production manager Shelli, who is described a world-class multi-tasker, passionate music fan and tireless work partner to the band’s tour manager.which hails from Cameron Crowe, Winnie Holzman And J.J. Abrams.
