Filming has started on the ninth season of BBC One's Caribbean-set crime drama Death In Paradise. Production is taking place on the French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. As TVWise previously reported, Aude Legastelois, who plays Detective Sergeant Madeleine Dumas, has been upped to series regular for season nine. She joins returning cast members Ardal O’Hanlon, Tobi Bakare, Shyko Amos, Don Warrington and Elizabeth Bourgine. Red Planet Pictures Options TV Rights To ‘Our House’
Red Planet Pictures, the indie behind the recently renewed BBC drama Death In Paradise, has optioned the TV rights to Our House, the best-selling novel by Louise Candlish that was just shortlisted for the Book of the Year (Crime & Thriller) at the British Book Awards. Our House tells the story of Fi Lawson, who arrives home one day to find a family of strangers moving into her house and her husband, Bram, has disappeared. As the nightmare takes grip, both Bram and Fi try to make sense of the events that led to a devastating crime and how they each are going to survive the chilling truth.

Red Planet Pictures and ITV have announced Dublin-based Devin Doyle as the winner of this year's Red Planet Prize - the talent discovery initiative that was launched by Tony Jordan's indie a decade ago to find writers that can create fresh, original and inspiring popular dram. As the winner, Doyle will get a script commission and development opportunities with ITV for his family drama Devoted Wife And Mother. It tells the story of a woman whose life is turned upside down when her debt dealing husband is kidnapped with a 500k ransom deadline for 5pm that day.
