Ransom is heading to free-to-air. Channel 5 has closed a deal with eOne to pick up the FTA rights to the hostage crisis drama series for their dig-net 5USA. The series will launch on 5USA next month.
The third season of Ransom will receive its UK premiere on Universal TV on Monday June 17th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Ransom - the international drama series from Frank Spotnitz's Big Light Productions - has been renewed for a third season by commissioning partners Global and CBS. The series is distributed internationally by Entertainment One (eOne) and airs on this side of the pond on Universal TV.

Despite a flurry of media reports that CBS had axed the Luke Roberts fronted show, sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell me that it has in fact NOT been cancelled. I'm hearing that CBS has not made a decision one way or another and Ransom remains in contention for a second season pick up.
