BBC One Sets Premiere Date For ‘Normal People’
Sally Rooney adaptation Normal People will premiere on BBC One on Monday April 27th at 9pm, with a double-bill. As TVWise previously reported, all twelve episodes will be available to stream as a box-set on BBC Three (via the iPlayer) from Sunday April 26th. 
Daisy Edgar Jones (War of the Worlds, Cold Feet), newcomer Paul Mescal, Sarah Greene (Dublin Murders, Rosie) and Aislín McGuckin (Outlander, The Nephew) have been cast in BBC Three's Sally Rooney adaptation Normal People.
Three female authored dramas are coming to the BBC. The PSB has commissioned three new dramas from Nicole Taylor, Michaela Coel (pictured, right) and Sally Rooney. The announcement comes on the same day that Coel is set ti deliver the McTaggart lecture at the Edinburgh TV Festival. The three series will go out on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Three, respectively. “I am honoured to be today announcing three brand new and contrasting dramas for BBC One, Two and Three", said the BBC's Controller of Drama Piers Wenger.
