Netflix Renews ‘Sex Education’ For Second Season

Netflix is returning to Sex Education. The streaming service has renewed the comedy-drama starring Gillian Anderson and Asa Butterfield for an eight episode second season. Production on season two is set to get underway in the UK this spring.

The Umbrella Academy will premiere on Netflix UK on Friday February 15th, it has been announced. The Umbrella Academy tells the story forty-three infants who, on the same day in 1989, are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by a billionaire who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. Now, the six surviving members reunite upon the news of their father's passing and must work together to solve a mystery surrounding his death.

Netflix Sets UK Return Date For ‘Shadowhunters’ Season 3

Freeform’s drama series Shadowhunters will return to Netflix UK to finish airing its third and final season from Tuesday February 26th, it has been announced. New episodes will continue to be made available every Tuesday, less than 24 hours after they initially air on Freeform in the United States.

UPDATE: ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Spin-Off ‘Short Treks’ Now Available On Netflix UK

The latest incarnation of the Star Trek franchise is not coming to the UK (at least for now). I've learned that Netflix UK has opted not to pick up Star Trek: Short Treks, a new four episode short-form off-shoot of Star Trek: Discovery. A representative for the streaming service confirmed that they will not be distributing the series, which launches state-side on October 4th.
