All 4 Acquires ’30 Rock’ In Deal With NBCU, Bringing Season 7 To UK For First Time

Channel 4 has agreed a deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution to acquire all seven seasons of NBC's cult comedy 30 Rock, created by Tina Fey, for All 4. The show's first two seasons are available on the VOD service as of today, while the remaining seasons will arrive "at a later date."

E4 Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Season 6, Eyes 2019 Premiere

Brooklyn Nine-Nine may be switching networks state-side, but it is staying put in its long-time UK home. E4 has inked a new deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution to pick up the exclusive UK rights to the show's eighteen episode sixth season. While a firm premiere date has not yet been set, E4 said it would premiere in 2019.

BBC Four Acquires USA Network’s ‘The Sinner’

The BBC is continuing to stock up on U.S. scripted content. BBC Four has acquired the free-to-air rights to USA Network's Jessica Biel fronted drama series The Sinner after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution. The show's first season will premiere on BBC Four on Saturday December 1st at 9pm.

The Good Place has a second UK home. E4 has picked up the free-to-air rights to the NBC comedy series from international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution. The show's thirteen episode first season will premiere on the Channel 4 owned digi-net on Thursday December 13th at 9pm.

SYFY UK Drops ’12 Monkeys’ After Three Seasons

EXCLUSIVE: Bad news for 12 Monkeys fans. I've learned that SYFY UK has opted not to acquire the fourth and final season of the sci-fi series from their sister company NBCUniversal International Distribution. It is not immediately clear if either Netflix UK or Amazon Prime Video UK - both of whom hold SVOD rights to the first three seasons - will swoop for the final season.

Amazon Prime Video Acquires UK Rights To USA Network’s ‘The Purge’

The Purge is coming to the UK. Amazon Prime Video has secured the UK rights to the ten episode series, which will be airing state-side next month on USA Network, with the season premiere and finale also being simulcast on the U.S. Syfy network. NBCUniversal International Distribution handles global sales. TVWise understands that, as it does with all of their exclusive acquisitions, Amazon Prime Video UK will make episodes available to stream within 24 hours of their US broadcast. The series will premiere in the UK on Wednesday September 5th, with subsequent episodes being made available every Wednesday.

Netflix UK Acquires TNT’s ‘Snowpiercer’ & Bravo’s ‘Dirty John’

Snowpiercer is coming to the UK. Netflix UK is set as the exclusive UK broadcaster for the series thanks to a larger deal between ITV Studios Global Entertainment and the streaming service, which will see Netflix serve as the global broadcaster outside of the U.S. and China. Elsewhere, in a deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution, Netflix UK has also boarded Bravo's new scripted series Dirty John, which is based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard.
