NBC Orders 1 Additional Episode For ‘Law & Order: SVU’, ‘Blindspot, ‘Chicago Fire’ & ‘Chicago P.D.’
NBC is beefing up on four of their hit drama series. The network has ordered one additional episode apiece for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, freshman thriller Blindspot, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., TVWise has learned. Each of those four series will now produce 23 episodes this season.

NBC is giving their new mid-season comedies Telenovela and Superstore a sizeable launching pad. The network has announced that both series will air back-to-back episode behind ratings juggernaut The Voice later this year before settling into the regular time-slots in January.
NBC's new Friday night comedy is being cut short. The network has trimmed the episode order for Truth Be Told from thirteen episodes down to ten, TVWise has confirmed. Production will shut down on Truth Be Told once the tenth episode, which is currently being shot, has been completed. The series will remain in its regular time-slot until all ten episodes of the DJ Nash created comedy have aired.

NBC is trimming down two of their midseason comedies. The network has cut the orders for both Superstore and Hot & Bothered to eleven episodes, down from the thirteen episodes initially ordered when NBC picked up both series.
