NBC has found the showrunner for their latest Chicago offshoot. Veteran producer Michael Chernuchin has been tapped to lead Chicago Justice, the latest iteration of the Chicago franchise which was piloted a couple of months ago with a planted episode of Chicago P.D. 
NBC has handed out an early fourth season renewal to their hit series The Blacklist, TVWise has learned. The network has given the series an initial pick-up of twenty-two episodes for season four, which will debut in Fall 2016. 
NBC is adding to the cast of Chicago Med. The Americans and Public Morals alum Peter Mark Kendall has been tapped for a recurring role in the latest Chicago Fire spin-off, which is set to premiere on Tuesday November 17th at 9/8c. 
NBC is bringing back two of the three series from Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise for the 2016-2017 season. At a press event held in Chicago yesterday on the sets of the franchise, NBC topper Robert Greenblatt announced that the network had renewed both Chicago Fire and Chicago PD. Chicago Fire will be back for its fifth season, while Chicago PD will return for a fourth season. 
NBC has handed out a three-episode back order to sophomore series The Mysteries Of Laura, TVWise has learned. The show's second season will now consist of some 16 episodes. 
The first trailer for Jennifer Lopez's new NBC cop drama Shades Of Blue has been released online.
