BritBox has commissioned their first global original series. The streaming service's UK and North American divisions have co-commissioned Murder In Provence, a three episode mystery series based on the books by M.L. Longworth. The Thick Of It and Endeavour alum Roger Allam is attached to star. 
Ghosts is joining the BBC's Christmas schedule. BBC One has ordered a Christmas special to air in 2020. The news comes just ahead of the launch of the show's second season on BBC One on Monday (September 21st) at 8:30pm. As TVWise previously reported, a third season has already been commissioned. 
Ghosts is coming back for a third season. In news that largely flew under the radar, when BBC One renewed the comedy series from the Horrible Histories team for a second season back in May, they also picked up a third season. The BBC's Director of Content Charlotte Moore made the announcement earlier this evening as part of a wider speech on the future of the iPlayer. BBC One has handed out a second season renewal to Ghosts, their new comedy series from the Horrible Histories team of Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond. Ghosts is the highest rated comedy so far this year with a consolidated average audience of 3.7 million viewers.
