Virgin Media To Launch Dedicated 4K Channel; Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Shut Eye’, ‘Masters Of Sex’ & More
Virgin Media has announced plans to launch the UK's first dedicated 4K channel, Virgin TV Ultra HD. Ahead of the launch, Virgin Media has agreed a wide-ranging deal with Sony Pictures Television for a number of U.S. scripted series from their distribution catalogue. They have picked up first run rights to Shut Eye and The Art Of More, neither of which has previously aired in the UK; and linear/repeat rights to House Of Cards, Masters Of Sex and StartUp. Notably, Masters Of Sex was dropped by Channel 4 in 2016 and its final two seasons never aired in the UK. 

Niecy Nash (Getting On, The Soul Man) and Betty Gilpin (Nurse Jackie, Elementary) have been cast in recurring roles in the upcoming fourth season of Showtime's Masters Of Sex, TVWise has learned.
Showtime has set premiere dates for their new fall line up, which now consists of Shameless, Masters Of Sex and The Affair. The three series are getting staggered launches between September and November.
During the network's executive panel at the TCAs, Showtime's President of Entertainment David Nevins announced that Ray Donovan and Masters Of Sex have been renewed, Twin Peaks is on track for a 2016 premiere, the network has ordered a drama pilot from Common, a comedy pilot from Jim Carrey, a limited series based on Patti Smith's memoir & more.
The OC star Tate Donovan has landed a guest starring role on the third season of Showtime's period drama Masters Of Sex. He will play Graham, a confident scientist whose relationship with Margaret Scully brings him to Masters and Johnson’s clinic.
Josh Charles has lined up his first post-The Good Wife role. The veteran actor, who played Will Gardner on the hit CBS series before dramatically exiting The Good Wife last season, has landed a major recurring role on the upcoming third season of Showtime's Master Of Sex.
Showtime has locked down their Summer schedule. The premium cable network, who just yesterday picked up their Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti fronted drama pilot Billions to series with a twelve episode order, has announced that the third seasons of both Ray Donovan and Masters Of Sex will premiere on Sunday July 12th.
