Stormzy has joined the cast of BBC One's Malorie Blackman adaptation Noughts + Crosses in a guest starring role. He will play newspaper editor Kolawale, a character created for the TV series. "As a diehard fan of Malorie's novels, being a part of this important show is a dream come true", he said.

ITV has locked down the core cast for The Singapore Grip. Luke Treadaway (Ordeal By Innocence), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), Jane Horrocks (Trollied), Colm Meaney (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Charles Dance OBE (Game Of Thrones), Elizabeth Tan (Coronation Street) and Georgia Blizzard (Thor: Ragnarok) have been set as the leads in the J.G. ITV has renewed their Morse prequel Endeavour for a seventh season. No word yet on the size of the order for season seven. The renewal comes shortly after the show's sixth season wrapped its run. Season six launched to a consolidated audience of 6.9 million viewers, marking the show's biggest audience since 2014.

Mammoth Screen has optioned the television rights to DJ Target's recently published book Grime Kids: The Inside Story Of The Global Grime Takeover. The indie secured the rights from Marium Raja at No Chiefs and Richard King at Orion. Theresa Ikoko has been set to adapt the book for TV. Originally published by Orion back in June, Grime Kids: The Inside Story Of The Global Grime Takeover is described as an explosive insider account of grime, from subculture to international phenomenon. A group of kids in the 2000s had a dream to make their voice heard - and the book documents their seminal impact on today's pop culture.

BBC One has released a first look image of John Malkovich in character as Hercule Poirot in their upcoming three-part Agatha Christie adaptation The ABC Murders. The ABC Murders is set in 1930s Britain and follows Poirot as he faces a serial killer known only as A.B.C. As the murder count rises, the only clue is the copy of The ABC Railway Guide at each crime scene. Poirot’s investigations are thwarted at every turn by an enemy determined to outsmart him. If Poirot is to match his nemesis then everything about him will be called into question; his authority, his integrity, his past, his identity.
