‘Major Crimes’ Boss James Duff On Show’s Future: “I Feel Confident About Season Five”
TVWise spoke to Major Crimes creator and showrunner James Duff about the delay in scoring a fifth season renewal from TNT and whether or not he was confident that the show would be back.

TNT has firmed up their plans for the fall season. The Turner owned cable network has unveiled details of their fall schedule, which includes the return of the second highest rated drama series Major Crimes, the second season of The Librarians, the ten episode first season of Sharon Stone starrer Agent X and the delayed second season of their Sean Bean fronted spy thriller Legends.
Greg Rikaart (Bones, The Young And The Restless) has been tapped for a recurring role on the back-end of the fourth season of TNT's hit procedural Major Crimes. The actor will play Bobby G. Monroe, a confident young lawyer and anti-death penalty activist who is representing Slider, the defendant in the Alice Herrera case. Said case, which was investigated and "closed" in season three, became a focal point of the first leg of season four, with Rusty, now credentialed as a journalist, digging around to uncover Alice's real name and find her family.
TNT is expanding the fourth season of Major Crimes. The network has handed out a five episode back order to the Mary McDonnell fronted procedural, bringing the total number of episodes ordered for the show's fourth season to twenty-three.
