Worzel Gummidge is returning to the Beeb. BBC One has ordered a further episode of the Mackenzie Crook fronted series to air later this year. It follows on from last year's the two-part series that aired as part of BBC One's Christmas schedule. BBC One has set the cast for Worzel Gummidge. Zoë Wanamaker (Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone), Sir Michael Palin (Monty Python), Vicki Pepperdine (The Windsors), Steve Pemberton (Benidorm), Rosie Cavaliero (Gentleman Jack), India Brown (Hetty Feather) and newcomer Thierry Wickens are set to star opposite Mackenzie Crook (The Pirates Of The Caribbean) in the two-part adaptation of the books by Barbara Euphan Todd.

Travelogue John Bishop's Ireland has been picked up to series at ITV with a four episode order. The series follows comedian John Bishop on a 600 mile road trip around the Emerald Isle. John's Bishop's Ireland sees him take a deep dive into Irish culture. It’s a rollicking and hilarious voyage that will not only follow John discovering iconic sights and quirky customs, but will also see him perform his comedy along the way, from a small and cramped gig in a Limerick pub, through to the biggest stage in all of Ireland.
